Workplace Giving

It doesn’t take much to make a difference!

Workplace giving is an effortless way to make regular donations. Your donations are paid pre-tax, meaning your taxable income is reduced. For a small donation each paycheck, you can help the O’Brien Foundation make a real difference to people suffering injuries from trauma, the after-effects of disease treatment and congenital abnormalities.

Contact your employer about joining their workplace giving program. You can nominate the O’Brien Foundation as the recipient and the amount you want to donate. Donations are automatically deducted from each pay.

Once you’ve signed up, you don’t need to do anything else. The record keeping is taken care of and you receive a tax receipt at the end of the financial year.

If just 10% of working Australians gave $5 a week to a charity, their contributions would amount to $300 million every year.

Hosting a fundraising event or activity in your workplace is also a great way to raise funds and awareness of the work of the O’Brien Foundation. Whether it is an office healthy morning tea, fun run, fitness challenge or social event there are many ways to get your colleagues involved while still having fun.

For employers

Workplace giving is a great way to motivate your staff and provide staff the opportunity to be community minded. It can help shape the culture of your organisation and contribute to building team spirit in the office.
