Volunteer Opportunity: Board Members

Location: Remote (with occasional in-person meetings or events as needed)

Time Commitment: Part-Time Commitment (8-10 Board meetings scheduled at midday), preferably Melbourne based.

The O’Brien Foundation based in Fitzroy, Melbourne is seeking volunteer Non-Executive Directors to guide our organisation through an exciting phase of growth and transformation. As we continue to advance our mission of supporting groundbreaking research in reconstructive plastic surgery and regenerative medicine, we are looking for passionate and skilled members to join our Board of Directors.

The O’Brien Foundation plays a vital role in raising funds to support the O’Brien Institute, part of St Vincent’s Institute, which pioneers innovative treatments to restore form and function to individuals affected by trauma, cancer (including the after-effects of treatment), and congenital deformities.

Our Ideal Candidates Will: Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the O’Brien Foundation. Have leadership experience in nonprofit, corporate, or community settings. Possess a collaborative mindset and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Be willing to leverage their skills and networks to further the foundation’s impact.
